Increasing capacity while protecting quality
As CYPRA expanded its circular economy operations, the existing batch processing system could not keep pace with increasing animal by-product volumes. Intermittent cooking created inefficiencies in protein separation, inconsistent product quality, and extended processing times.
Receiving infrastructure also lacked the capacity to handle peak delivery volumes, creating material handling bottlenecks and limiting production efficiency.
A complete rendering line built for continuous operation
Continuous Cooker
A Haarslev 5000kg continuous cooker replaced batch processing with uninterrupted thermal treatment and higher throughput.
Decanter Separation
Two GEA Westfalia decanter centrifuges provide high-efficiency separation of protein, fat, and water fractions.
Receiving Bin
A purpose-designed receiving bin ensures hygienic material handling and eliminates bottlenecks during peak delivery periods.
From raw by-products to recovered protein, fat, and process water
Raw animal by-products enter through the specialized receiving bin, which ensures hygienic storage and consistent feeding into the continuous cooker.
After thermal treatment, cooked material flows directly into two Westfalia decanter centrifuges operating in parallel configuration, separating protein meal, rendered fat, and process water.
This seamless integration reduces material handling, improves consistency, and supports CYPRA’s circular economy model.
