Balkan Zoo Farm (BZF), Albania
Balcan Zoo Farm (BZF) Sh.p.k is one of the largest pork meat processing facilities and distributors in Tirana, Albania. BZF offers a wide range of pork meat by products.
In 2017, Euromac has developed, retrofitted and installed a comprehensive pig slaughtering and processing line at BZF’s facilities.
The project included a complete slaughterhouse line for pigs, capable of handling a capacity of 120 pigs per hour.
To manage the substantial volume of meat waste produced by the slaughterhouse effectively, Euromac has incorporated a complete rendering line that processes blood and pork meat waste into byproducts for pet food and pellets.
The rendering unit consisted out of a Haarslev batch cooker with a 5000Kg capacity, a Haarslev fat press screw and Haarslev screw conveyors, evaporators and receiving/storage bins.
This approach aligns with sustainable practices in the meat industry and the BZF facility was applauded by the Albanian ministry of agriculture as one of the first rendering facilities in Albania.
Moreover, Euromac has installed a water treatment unit with a 1000 m3 capacity, ensuring environmental compliance and resource efficiency and has supplied various meat processing machinery for producing sausages, pork loins, and other meat pork products.
